The winter quiet times are past and we’re into the season of workshops, open days hosting volunteers, gardening, scything, flowers on the table and shiny, healthy cows out at grass.
If you would like to get involved in life on the farm, here are some of the ways you can join in:
Come on a Workshop
Scythe Cymru run scything and peening workshops on the wildflower meadows throughout the summer.
Other courses we have run in the past include Compost Toilet Building, Cob and Roundhouse building workshops, Traditional Rake Making, Signwriting and Natural Dyeing.
Keep an eye on the website or join our mailing list to hear about offerings for 2025

Come to an Event
Our annual Moth Camp is very popular, as is our Meadow Open Morning.
Here are the dates of events planned so far, look out for more tours and open events later in the summer.
Book a Tour
We can run private tours of the farm for groups. Past topics have included:
- Traditional Hay Meadow Management
- Off Grid Living (wind and solar power)
- Managing and Making Use of Bracken
- All About Compost Loos
- Permaculture in Practice.
If you are interested in bringing a group to the farm please get in touch and we can discuss dates and topics!

Volunteer for a Day
We welcome volunteers to join us for our roughly monthly workdays.
It a great opportunity to meet us, learn about what we do and enjoy some outdoor activity in good company (here is an example of the kind of thing we do.)
If you would like to know about future dates, get in touch and I can add you to our mailing or WhatsApp list
Volunteer for Longer
From March to September we host short term residential volunteers on the farm. People stay from around 2 weeks to several months.
Residential volunteering is a great opportunity to take a deeper dive into what we do, how and why. More information on volunteering with us can be found on our WWOOF or WorkAway listing.
Our residential volunteering opportunities for 2025 are fully booked, but you could always plan a summer adventure for 2026!

Camp on the Farm
From late May onwards, campers are welcome to stay on our beautiful meadow and make use of our facilities.
You can find more details about camping on the farm here.
Bring a Group to Camp on the Farm
We can host small group camps (up to 20 – 30 people). Groups camp on the meadows and have access to the farm kitchen, basic shower, compost toilets, Roundhouse and barn space.
If you are looking for a good value venue in a beautiful location with sustainability at it’s core, please get in touch.
